A spin instructor tries to craft the perfect workout class filled with positivity, determination and, of course, wellness. But something isn't quite right. In fact, something feels  distinctly . . . unwell.

Is the thing she loves actually helping people? Will her bike shorts chafe? Does anyone else smell burning flesh?

A new solo show written and performed by Kate Sumpter (star of BBC's The Little Drummer Girl and The Actor's Nightmare at Park Theatre), SPIN is simultaneously a satirical takedown of 'wellness' and a morally play for a secular society in the throes of late capitalism. It asks us to confront toxic fitness culture and question if the industry designed to save us might just be killing us.
